Current Projects
In this laboratory space, our faculty and students do detailed mechanical preparation of vertebrate and invertebrate fossils using microjack airscribes as well as pinvises using high-quality microscopes and dust collection systems. Our molding and casting capabilities will allow students to learn these techniques as part of their projects.
Tuesday night Prep Night
-
Learn how to clean and conserve the vertebrate fossils that we collect in Arizona, Wyoming and New Mexico from the Triassic Period (~215 million years ago)
We welcome students who are interested in doing undergraduate research and lab volunteers.
Contact Dr. Nesbitt, Dr. Xiao, or Dr. Stocker to learn how to get involved.
